Heaven’s Doggy-Door
My best friend closed her eyes last night,
As her head was in my hand.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.
I wonder where this goes? on Flickr – Photo Sharing!
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And Oh… her many charms.
baby oops! on Flickr – Photo Sharing!
Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense “I love you gaze”,
Only a heart that’s filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
baby that’s better… on Flickr – Photo Sharing!
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, “You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE’s installed a ‘doggy-door’!!!

Aawww, your Baby was so sweet! I love her, just looking at her pictures.
And like the others, I, too, am glad you had each other.
Thank you for sharing Baby with us. Yours was a beautiful poem, as is the one that stiglinc provided. I am very sorry for your loss, and, yet, I am so very happy that you had each other.
The say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold place
no one could ever fill.
(These lines are not mine, but the feeling ….)
Donna, I’m so very sorry you have lost your beloved Baby. I know your pain, having lost 2 of my own precious dogs in the past. She was a beautiful little girl. I’m heartbroken for you.

Who needs global warming? Those big round eyes could melt a dozen icebergs. So sorry for your loss.
We are very sorry to here of your loss. We know how hard this must be for you. Our thoughts are with you…
I almost always check your website for updates every morning. Your Baby is precious. I’m so sorry that you lost her. I have to admit, I was teary-eyed.
As the leader of a ‘ three dog pack’, I can certainly empathize with you.
Be thankful that the two of you found each other.
