Part of Jean Graham’s “Wall of Welcome” mosaic project in the Crestview Neighborhood. The artist is providing mosaic lessons and supplies and the Crestview residents (and others) are following her plan and some are making their own designs. It’s on a brick wall about 5 feet tall. There are individual square designs along the top of the master mural. A work in progress.
could someone tell me where this wall is?
The mosaic Wall of Welcome is on the east side of Crestview Shopping Center, 7100 Woodrow Avenue, Austin, Texas. If you come by to see it, be sure to park and get out of your car to check it out up close. You also can check it out at:

You can zoom in to see all the detail.

I read not long ago that it’s finished now. I should go by and take more photos.
Thanks so much for posting these beautiful pictures.
Would it possible to commission a panel on the Crestview wall? This would be for a long time Austin bicycle club named the Violet Crown Sports Association. Please let me know. Thanks.

Ps. I’m the goofy guy that wildly applauds yall’s work as I ride by on Sundays.
This is amazing! I moved to Dripping Springs, TX. from AZ in 1996. I work in Austin but don’t know much about the Austin history. Today I went with a friend from work to the Little Deli for lunch and after we viewed the wall. Thank you for such beauty and history.
Just want to tell you this is the most amazing community art effort I’ve ever seen; you’re terrific!
