The word ” Picassiette ” comes from the nickname given to Raymond Isidore, artist mosaïste, made famous by his decorated house outside and internal, including furniture.
This “house classified as Historic Monument” is the property of the city of Chartres in France. Make the effort to make a tourist stopping place, if you pass there.
And not very far in Tours, in my workshop: “PATATRAS”, because I pays him tribute by practising and by teaching the technique which carrie its name!

I have a picture that was created in the shop of clever artisans experts in the spinning and in the composition of pure enamel mosaics. Has a small gold plack below the picture that reads (Prof. R.TRAVE Q.) Its a picture of a shack or small house on the edge of a cliff over water. I know nothing about it and am hoping someone out here can enlighten me…….

I just finish a mosaic and the grout went under the glass but I put lots of glue down? Help
when you are doing a mosaic piece make sure the glue is completly dry,let dry for about a week befor you start grouting some times if the glass or the tile are not completly dry the pieces come out because the glue is not dry,let dry b4 grouting

I am looking for information concerning the cleaning of a Smalti mosaic mural. The mual measures 25 feet in width and stands approxiamately 42 feet high. I was executed at Conn-Arts Studio, Toronto Canada. The artist was Alex von Svoboda. It was installed some time in the 1960.
