
orsoni prize 2009 - international award for mosaic fine art
Orsoni Smalti Veneziani has been producing Venetian smalti and 24k gold mosaic since 1888. The biennial Orsoni Prize was created to honor contemporary mosaic fine art. Honorary President Maestro Lucio Orsoni and Pino Bisazza, the founder and President of Trend Group and premier art collector, will judge the competition.

Maestro Orsoni and Dottore Bisazza will award the Grand Prize to the individual who best exemplifies the use of Orsoni product in a mosaic representing excellent technique and unique artistic vision.

Attend the Orsoni Master in Mosaic (one week class) between Oct 2009-October 2010.

In addition one Honorable Mention and three Finalists will be awarded a total of six kilos of Orsoni 24k gold mosaic.

“It has been fascinating to see the international mosaic community flourish with unimaginable vitality and energy”, contends Lucio Orsoni. “It has been my dream to acknowledge the work that is being done with this significant prize that has become part of the Orsoni legacy.”
Artists may apply in two categories, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional through Juried Art Services. The application deadline is June 12, 2009. The winner will be announced, September 9, 2009.
